Little is known about
Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), and yet it is
one of the most devastating and stigmatized mental
illnesses. In fact, over 10 million people suffer
from this disorder (approximately 1 in 30
Americans). BPD is also noted as causing more pain
and suffering in afflicted individuals than in any
other mental illness: 10% of people with Borderline
Personality Disorder commit suicide. But despite the
stigma and the complexity of this disorder, there is
hope.
